My client is a leading worldwide supplier of solutions for particle and material characterisation in the laboratory and process areas. The combination of high quality instrumentation products, experienced applications and engineering teams continue to drive significant growth. Employing over 500 people worldwide from its award-winning headquarters in Malvern UK, the company is continuing to expand and grow through investment in New Product Introduction.
In order to strengthen further their design and engineering capability, they are recruiting for a number of professional engineers. This is an excellent opportunity for the right people to develop their skills in a world-leading organisation.
The role is for a Systems Engineer with a background in mechanical engineering and thermal management with experience of developing high technology systems.
The successful candidate will be involved in all stage of the product lifecycle - Applications, Feasibility, development and integration to manufacture.
Although instrument development will be the primary job function, an aptitude for project management would also be beneficial.

Skills and qualifications:
Essential
Graduate in physics, engineering or equivalent
High-technology/scientific background
Understanding of instrument systems architecture
Thermo-mechanical capability
Good experimental technique
Good mechanical aptitude
Proven track record in working effectively to project timescales
*Able to travel and work with teams across the globe
Beneficial
Post-graduate qualification
Knowledge of fluid handling and thermal systems
Understanding of Motor drives and controls
Experience of embedded systems
Use of CFD/FEA modelling tools
Familiarity of working in a ISO9000 environment
